Montelupo Golf Club was founded in 1996.
The club’s nine holes  are laid out on flat terrain along the Arno river   offering views of the surrounding hillsides of the Chianti Montalbano wine  region. The course is designed to  provide sporting challenges without being overly difficult. It is generally agreed that the layout is friendly to beginners while at the same time demands that better golfers play with care. Pars have to be earned.
The club is particularly proud of the quality of its greens.
A special feature  of the course is the imposing lake which comes into play on the 8th hole..
